"Kaching" Boom!, whats that i hear? oh its a weapon, hello readers, today you'll learn about the US army's deadliest hand weapon to date. the XM25 . *pauses for dramatic effect*anyway its a grenade launcher that has been developed by heckler&koch yes grenade launcher,
You must be wondering, pah another grenade launcher, what's good about that?. well read this

"The xm25 can fire 25mm rounds that explode at any distance set by the soldier, killing people protected behind walls or trenches. "
well if that's not a weapon of mass destruction, i dont know what is.

Anyways, what else can this WMD do? well here's the list

• Imagine there is an enemy sniper hiding behind a window in a building.
• The soldier points the weapon to the building's façade, measuring the distance.
• Using two buttons on the front handle, he would then add whatever distance he estimates is the correct one to get the 25mm round through the window and into the room, near the enemy.
• Then he would fire. The smart round knows where it is at all times thanks to its built-in circuitry.
• When the round reaches the distance set by the soldier, it would explode, killing the enemy with a fragmentation warhead. The round doesn't really have to be very near the enemy. Its blast radius is equivalent to a hand grenade, so these things are extremely dangerous, and almost impossible to survive.

How awesome is that? i wouldnt want to be the enemy !

anyways, this weapon is a reality or will be a reality in the afghanisian war and will be used by the green berets sooner or later, wheather it will save more lives or destroy more lives, i dont know but one thing's for sure, this weapon is sure gona put a new spin into the war.

Have u ever wondered how all those lyrics song videos on youtube are created? well its quite simple actually well here's how. Firstly, you need a windows movie maker so mac users GODAIII, this guide aint for you,well, Open the windows movie maker and import the song you want to "lyricsfy" after that, just get the lyrics from a website and insert them using the "make tittle credits", to get there just click the "Edit movie" tab than you'll find the "make tittle credits" tab and click that, following that click the "add tittle on the selected clip" and add the lyrcis there, you can obviously edit the animations simply enough so i wont explain, the font and colours are also quite obvious. anyway after u click done, you'll see that ur lyrics"s tab is quite small, just drag and extend it as much as needed, there's a timeline provided so yeah.Just continue doing that and you're pretty much done.Oh you can insert pictures too, just do the same thing.but with pictures. well, now that your video is done just go and press save it to my computer and save it as the 2.5 MB file format thingy, if u dont save it as that, it might not work. P.S it might take quite long for you save your video. well for more details view this video

Apple has received the lost/stolen/leaked next generation iPhone back. After reports first surfaced this past weekend that the next generation iPhone had surfaced.Apparently,a person called gray powell who is a apple enginner had tested the new Iphone which had been disguised as a Iphone 3Gs,well it was his birthday and he took the next gen phone with him to a bar to celebrate his birthday he drank too many bears and got drunk after that he forgotted all about the next gen iphone, another person who was in the bar picked up the phone and tried to return it to apple but they didnt believe him and rejected him,so he sold it to GIZMODO @ $5000 and here we have the biggest and maybe only leak in apple's history anyway the device has finally returned home.

Luckily we all got pictures of the ins and outs of the iPhone 4G / iPhone HD and it certainly appears to be another grand device from our friends at Apple.

Gizmodo, which released a video of the phone yesterday, did all fans of Apple a solid by making Apple confirm the phone did indeed belong to them before they would return the device. Thank you Gizmodo, now we know what the next iPhone will more than likely look like and where more of our upcoming yearly salary will go to.

Iron man's a pretty old movie but its awesome so here i am reivewing about it,
well it centeres around that iron man dude and he's suppose to be a super technology geek, he builds super hi tech weapons and one day he gets kidnapped and forced to put together a new killer weapon for the terrorist, he tricks the terrorist and makes the first version of the iron man suit, following that he escapes and gets back to his lab and creates the final version of the suit, using the suit he goes around saving people that were being terrorized by the same people that kidnapped him and than the movie ends with a massive boss fight bewtween him and the botak guy who is his old friend.

hi, did you know that the unit "KG" or kilogram is actually mass? Well, if u knew than why when people ask u what is your WEIGHT u say its "??" KG? hah got u there!.
well weight is actually measured in Newtons [N] so when people ask you for your weight, u can actually answer as 'i am 450n' well how do u calculate your newtons?
its actually very simple.. your MASS x 10. and yes the weighing machine measures your MASS not your weight[newton]. anyway the reason for this common misunderstanding is due to well.. saying newton is quite strange :D so people do prefer using weight as it is more widely understood. but renember if ur sitting for your GCSE o Levels, dont say KG is the standard unit[SI unit] for Weight, You'll waste marks :D and to girls, next time anybody asks for your weight tell it to them. but change it to newton!. P.S Mass SI unit is KG and Weight SI unit is newton!

Awesome stuff people , i just found out how people make awesome images. REALLY REALLY AWESOME images... well the secret is actually very simple.. C4D, google it :D
anyway it means Cinema 4D, its actually another program that runs allows users to create images in 3D. think about the possibillites, i might even bet my money that alice in wonderland used it too :D. well what does this all have to do with Photoshop? well, u can use the C4D images as the Background" so as to make the picture look more 3d and add awesomeness. well stil dont understnad what i mean? ... here's a C4D image,

How did dinosaurs die?

well, people have been debating for very long, almost as much as the egg or chicken came first riddle. how did the dinosaurs die? was there ever dinosaurs ever in the first place? well. there are alot of multiple theories on how dinosaurs died but TODAY,a few hours ago, in WASHINGTON

an international panel of experts who reviewed 20 years' worth of evidence about what caused the Cretaceous-Tertiary (KT) extinction that wiped out more than half the species on the planet.

They determined it was a massive asteroid, measuring around 15 kilometres wide, which smashed into what is today Chicxulub in Mexico.


The event marked a pivotal point in history because it cleared the way for mammals to become the dominant species on Earth.

"The asteroid is believed to have hit Earth with a force one billion times more powerful than the atomic bomb at Hiroshima," the researchers said in a report published in the journal Science.

"It would have blasted material at high velocity into the atmosphere, triggering a chain of events that caused a global winter, wiping out much of life on Earth in a matter of days."

The panel of 41 scientists hope their findings will lay to rest once and for all the debate about what caused the KT extinction.

Some scientists have argued that dinosaurs and species including bird-like pterosaurs and large sea reptiles were wiped out by a series of volcanic eruptions in what is now India that lasted some 1.5 million years.

The eruptions spewed enough basalt lava across the Deccan Traps in west-central India to fill the Black Sea twice and were thought to have caused a cooling of the atmosphere and acid rain on a global scale.

But the evidence gathered for the study published in Science showed that marine and land ecosystems were destroyed rapidly in the KT extinction, leading the scientists to rule out volcanic activity as the culprit, because its effects would have whittled away at dinosaurs and other species over time.

"Despite evidence for relatively active volcanism in the Deccan Traps at the time, marine and land ecosystems showed only minor changes within the 500,000 years before the time of the KT extinction," the scientists said.

"Computer models and observational data suggest that the release of gases such as sulphur into the atmosphere after each volcanic eruption... would have had a short-lived effect on the planet and would not cause enough damage to create a rapid mass extinction of land and marine species."

The Chicxulub asteroid, on the other hand, could very well have made short shrift of dinosaurs, pterosaurs and other species, the scientists said.

The impact of the large asteroid would have "triggered large-scale fires, earthquakes measuring more than 10 on the Richter scale, and continental landslides which created tsunamis," said Joanna Morgan, a lecturer in geophysics at Imperial College, London and co-author of the study.

The asteroid hit Earth 20 times faster than a speeding bullet and exploded into a deadly mix of hot rock and gas which would have "grilled any living creature in the immediate vicinity that couldn't find shelter," said Gareth Collins, a research fellow at Imperial College.

"The final nail in the coffin for the dinosaurs happened when blasted material was ejected at high velocity into the atmosphere," shrouding the planet in darkness and causing a global winter that killed off species that "couldn't adapt to this hellish environment," added Morgan.Make a Mark in Your Career with a Top UK Hons Degree at Kaplan

Another clue that the KT extinction was caused by a huge asteroid and not volcanic activity was evidence in geological records of "shocked" quartz in rock layers at KT boundary levels around the world.

Quartz is "shocked" when it is hit very quickly by a massive force - such as a 15-kilometer-wide asteroid traveling 20 times faster than a bullet.

The KT extinction marked the end of the 160-million-year reign of the dinosaurs and allowed mammals, and eventually humans, to become the dominant species on earth.

therefore,they came to this conclusion Dinosaurs were wiped out by a huge asteroid that smashed into Earth 65 million years ago with the force of a billion atomic bombs, scientists said Thursday, hoping to lay an age-old debate to rest once and for all.

It's official: Ch U to scrap own news programmes

IT'S confirmed: Channel U's original news bulletins will be a thing of the past from March 29.

This is a stark U-turn from MediaCorp's earlier promise to viewers in 2005 that it would refrain from using Channel 8's packaged news items in Channel U's news programmes.

Yesterday, my paper had reported on buzz that Media- Corp might be replacing Channel U's 11pm daily news programme with repeats of Channel 8's 10pm news.

Sources also said that it is planning to scrap the channel's weekday 9pm news programme and its weekend 7pm news programme.

Launched in May 2001, Channel U then belonged to MediaWorks, Singapore Press Holdings' now-defunct television arm.

The Mandarin channel's news programmes were renowned for its celebrity news anchors - Helen Cheung, Wang Yanqing and Evelyn Tan. However, MediaWorks merged with MediaCorp in January 2005.

Channel U was relinquished to MediaCorp TV under a new agreement, and its news anchors were replaced by a new team.

Now, the channel is rocked by further changes. A press release issued yesterday by the broadcast giant said that from March 29, there will no longer be a daily news programme at 9pm.

The channel will feature entertainment programmes on weekdays between 8pm and 10pm.

The daily news bulletin at 11pm will repeat the 10pm news from Channel 8. Its weekend 7pm news programme will be replaced by current-affairs programmes, Money Week and World This Week, on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, from April 3.

Ms Jeslyn Low, Channel U's head of branding and promotions, said: "By consolidating resources, the group is able to push for stronger content from its news platforms to serve the public."

No staff will be retrenched or lose their jobs, she said.

Microsoft, Mediacorp to create new online bilingual portal

Entertainment and lifestyle website xinmsn.com to be launchedTECHNOLOGY giant Microsoft and leading local media company Mediacorp have joined hands to create a bilingual online entertainment and lifestyle portal.

Set to launch in the second quarter of 2010, the new website, xinmsn, will feature content offerings currently on Microsoft's MSN Singapore and Mediacorp websites.

It will house both global and local content such as the latest entertainment and sports news, free video-on-demand and live streaming of popular local radio stations.

Other key features include lifestyle features and fashion tips, blogs by Mediacorp artistes and integrated access to Microsoft's Windows Live services such as Messenger and Hotmail.

MediaCorp's current suite of TV, radio and entertainment websites, and MSN Singapore together attract close to 3 million visitors monthly, said a joint statement released by Mediacorp and Microsoft Tuesday.

In addition, MSN Singapore also boasts the country's most popular online communications network, which includes 1.4 million local Messenger users, the statement said.

Mr Shaun Seow, MediaCorp's Deputy CEO (News, Radio, Print, Interactive) said the new web portal will have a "potent mix" of hyper-local and international content, appealing to Internet users of all ages.

"While MediaCorp's ongoing TV, radio and print offerings will provide the substrate for this website, we will also be generating exclusive Web-only content. We invite visitors to interact with us, through postings, and even ideas on how to improve our site," Mr Seow said.

Around 3.5 per cent of users here visit the MSN Singapore portal at least once every week, making it the third most-visited local website, according to the latest report by online analytics firm Hitwise.

Both companies expect traffic to xinmsn to grow many times over current levels, giving online advertisers what could potentially be the largest online user base to market their products and services.

Largest gathering of people born in Year of Tiger at one place


SINGAPORE : Three hundred and eight people born in the Year of the Tiger came together on Saturday in an attempt to enter the Singapore Book of Records as the largest gathering of tiger babies at one place within two hours.

The event held at the Underwater World Sentosa was graced by Minister of State for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Mrs Yu—Foo Yee Shoon, who was also born in the Year of the Tiger.

Organised by makers of the Tiger Balm, Haw Par Healthcare, the event was also held to raise funds for the Society for the Physically Disabled.

Gas Scare

Holy Crap, Bullshiit, **** i had a close brush with death today !!! my father was going to cook some soup with the gas, as per normal but, i had diarrhoea and went to the toliet near the kitchen, after i finished diarrhoearring, i heard a sound like gas never close, i quickly went to check if all got close anot,to my suprise all were closed! but the gas leaking sound was still coming from somewhere,!!! i tried to trace the sound and to my suprise, it lead to the place where the gas tanks were kept! holy crap! the pipe had burst and tons of gas was leaking out! holy shty. i flew into a panic and called for my dad to come, he walked in to the kitchen lazily then he also said. what the hell. in chinese that is. he heard the gas leak and quickly turned of the gas from the gas tanks. after that he dismantled the gas tank and put it aside, holy shty luckily i had diarrhoea! without it my house would be in flames and i wouldnt be blogging here anymore!. had i not found out, my dad would have started to heat up soup and BOOM everybody within vicinity of the block would have gone BOOM!. holy shty holy shty and holy shty!

Well, Steeve jobs is a seriously bad name choose, first he wanted to call the Mac computer MacMan but luckily to some company and copyright issues, they changed it to iMac, well it looks like Jobs is finally grasping the idealogy of naming stuff properly but somehow, he has just learned half of it, he is calling his new device, iPad, for some weird reason, he thinks adding a i infront of anything will make it sound cool. anyway the device itself is very cool and thin. here's a video of jobs himself talking about it.

Hello, its me once again. i havent been blogging much cause i have nothing much to blog about. well that was the past now i have things to blog about and this post shall be about bicycles- one of the best inventions ever. why do i say that? firstly it is enviormentally friendly and u can go places that u cant normally go with cars. and besides there's alot of goodness in it but i wont say that much. anyway biking or cycling whichever u prefer, is real fun. although u might get sweaty and sticky but it is really fun and it IS a form for excersise too

to me, it THE best way to excercise and i know my friends agreee with me too :D we always cycle around our neighbourhood :D me and my bunch of friends can cycle for like 3/4 of the day starting from 6am on saturdays/sundays! how crazy is that? and why dont we get bored? well u will never get bored of cycling. so if u dont have a bike get one and start cycling. if u have a bike start cycling. :.: u will not regret it and renember to warm up first. if u have a bike with gear set it to low gear.

S'pore magic duo to predict 4D winning numbers


SINGAPORE : They have stunned audiences with their physical mega illusions in the past but come Friday, Singapore magicians J C Sum and 'Magic Babe' Ning will attempt their most mind-boggling feat yet - prediction of winning 4D lottery numbers.

The pair will seal their four-digit number prediction in a giant red packet which will be locked in a clear container and suspended three metres above ground in front of mega nightclub St James Power Station's main entrance.

A representative from the Singapore Tourism Board will be present to audit the proceedings of the prediction.

Over the next six days, members of the public are free to view the suspended chest which will be under tight security watch, as well as witness the 'live' revelation of the 4D prediction by the illusionists on January 27 at The Boiler Room after the official 4D results are drawn by Singapore Pools.

"'The Impossible 4D Prediction' is purely a mental and psychological challenge. We will be employing five different techniques and strategies to generate the four-digit number," explained J C.

This new psychological illusion stunt is a departure from the duo's previous high profile projects which include teleportations and their record-breaking feat of performing the most illusions - 15 - in five minutes.

"The idea of predicting the lottery was the favourite suggested mega stunt made by our Facebook friends and fans in a poll we did in early 2009. I guess everyone loved the idea of winning money," said J C. "Based on this feedback from our audience, we went about developing the method and presentation for such a prediction and chose the 4D as it is the most well known local lottery."

"The Impossible 4D Prediction" is the first ever lottery prediction to be attempted here, and in this part of the world. But that's not the only first.

"Ning and I have never bought a 4D ticket in our lives but we also believe that you should try something exciting once in your life, as long as it is legal, ethical and does not harm anyone," said J C.

The pair will buy a ticket for a single 4D number for the January 27 draw and though they have not decided on the amount to bet, it "will not be lower than S$100".

"If we hit the right winning number, we'll definitely take a break for the rest of the year!" said Ning, Singapore’s first female magician.

My sentiments exactly. However, despite my cajoling, the pair refuse to divulge to me their prediction.

"Get in line! No one besides us will know the number, not even our crew," said Ning.

There goes my chance for a windfall.


J C Sum and 'Magic Babe' Ning will make their prediction on Friday, January 22, at 8.30pm, and the big reveal at The Boiler Room @ St James on Wednesday, January 27, at 6.30pm. Admission is free.

The Book of ELI



the book of eli is a new movie i stumbled upon while surfing the web it is due to be relesed on 15/1/10 which is tomorrow the story/sypnosis goes like this and the trailer is above.

The Book Of Eli is a post-apocalyptic western cursed by laborious pacing and a sense of self-importance which its nutty story does not warrant. Ponderous in the extreme and laced with portentous religious overtones, the first feature in nine years from the talented Hughes Brothers (From Hell) may struggle to last long in theatres despite the above-the-title allure of Denzel Washington.
A handsome, expensive production from Joel Silver and Alcon Entertainment, which is coming off its biggest hit to date with The Blind Side, The Book Of Eli was sold to independents outside North America per Alcon’s sales arrangement with Summit. But although its production values and solid cast will help give it muscle, this could still struggle to generate word of mouth in an international marketplace already apathetic to the western genre.

The Book of Eli might also suffer over its uncanny resemblance to John Hillcoat’s current release The Road in that it follows a man heading westwards across America after an apocalyptic event has devastated the world. The first half hour sees Washington’s Eli battle against scavengers and take refuge in deserted houses, much like Viggo Mortenson’s character and his son in (the far superior) The Road.

But when Eli hits a small frontier town run by a gangster called Carnegie (Gary Oldman, back in arch villain mode), the resemblance ends and the film evolves into an old-style good versus bad face-off straight out of a Sergio Leone movie (in fact, one of the characters repeatedly whistles Ennio Morricone’s theme to Once Upon A Time In America).

Carnegie is searching for a book, and it turns out that Eli possesses the very book he is looking for. Eli tells Carnegie’s adopted daughter Solara (Kunis) that he has been driven west by voices in his head telling him that he must get the book into safe hands and that he will be protected along the way.

Eli, a former K-Mart store hand but clearly believing himself a Christian prophet, manages to escape the town alongside Solara but Carnegie and his stooges (led by Ray Stevenson) are hot on his tail across the desert wastes a la Mad Max.

The film briefly comes alive towards the end as Eli and Solara hole up in a house belonging to a crotchety old cannibal couple called, appropriately, George and Martha and played with enormous relish by English acting divinities Michael Gambon and Frances De La Tour. The two Brits send a bolt of energy into the film, and give a hint of what might have been if the film allowed itself to have more fun.

Indeed fanboys who might have lapped this up had it been played with more of the pacing and zest of Desperado or From Dusk Till Dawn are unlikely to embrace The Book Of Eli’s spin off into hokum-land in its final 15 minutes and a Sixth Sense-style reveal which is nothing short of nonsensical. The Hughes Brothers meanwhile can’t quite decide whether they are remaking Unforgiven or Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, switching style often and abruptly from soporific western to CSI-style flash-cutting.

Samsung's LED LCD televisions are here and the flagship C9000 is a doozy. It's the only one they're calling "ultra thin", has 3D support in late 2010 and a touch remote that shows you content from other video sources!

The thinness (it's as skinny as a pencil) is achieved by shoving lots of guts into the pedestal, which doubles as a wall mount. The set can convert 2D content into 3D, although I'm sure of dubious quality. The remote looks rather Apple-ish in UI, but it can show you, as I said before, content from other sources, like live TV while watching a Blu-ray on the big screen. It has 240Hz tech, which we've never noticed as important in image quality, but it's there (needed for 3D). No word on sizes or prices, yet. There's Samsung app support, but platforms like these are never really well supported. The frame is very shiny

Bear Attacks Plane, Pilot Fixes Plane With Duct Tape, Pilot Flies Duct-Taped Plane Home



I'm not sure this story is true, but if it is, I'm going to go buy a hat just so I can take it off in this guy's honor. Is there anything duct tape can't do (besides repair ducts)?

So this pilot was flying out in the Alaskan backcountry (is there a frontcountry in Alaska?) for a fishing trip and mistakenly left some fresh bait in his plane. That was a big mistake, since there are probably more bears than people in those parts. One of the local bears ravaged his plane while looking for the bait, leaving it in a condition unfit for flight. That picture:


After the attack, our noble pilot called in a buddy to deliver some new tires, sheet plastic and a whopping three cases of duct tape. After using those materials, his newly patched-up plane looked like this:


Apparently the repairs were sturdy enough that the pilot was able to fly his duct-taped plane home safely (not sure how far—maybe he was from Dawson City or something). There are definitely reasons to be skeptical of the story, but I'm going to choose to ignore all of them, and instead salute both this man and duct tape

The "Blood-Curdling" Name Steve Jobs Wanted for the iMac


Back in November, former TBWA\Chiat\Day creative Ken Segal said that Steve Jobs' original name for the iMac would "curdle your blood." I guessed Macternet, but according to this account, that wasn't blood-curdling enough. Jobs' alleged proposal was a lot worse:

Our sources claim that the name that Steve Jobs wanted was... MacMan. At the time, the name was being used by another company, called Midiman. They manufactured the MacMan, a serial-to-MIDI adapter with one input, three outputs, a serial passthrough switch, and MIDI indicator LEDs. According to this account, Apple came to them with an offer for the name, but Midiman's owner thought they didn't offered enough ruby rupees. He declined Apple's offer.

If this is true—and it rings real to me—I'm glad the owner declined. Just imagine if they called that bondi blob the MacMan. We would still be hearing the echoes of the worldwide laughter.

For the same reasons, I hope they don't go with Apple iSlate (Apple Is Late?). It's not as bad as MacMan, but it's almost there.

Nexus One

The Google Phone. Nexus one is the new Google Phone it uses the Android OS [operating system] yes u read it right it GOOGLE has made a new touch screen phone. GOOGLE the search engine giant. can u belive that? well anyway its something revolutionalry. imagine a touch phone with better specs than the iphone3GS [specs = the stuff inside[engines and stuff] anyway it not only has double the resolution of the iphone 3gs but it surfs the web damn fast it is belived to be the fastest phone out there that can surf the web. it loads the webpage quite fast unlike the iphone 3Gs which takes quite long to load the web page. the only problem is the Nexus One is sold only online, it isnt sold in stores as google's partner motorola uses android OS too so google doesnt really want any friction with motorola so that why. the Nexus One sales arnt gona be higher than the iphone during the first week or somthing cause people dont really buy phones which they never tried before only those who have read about the phone and trusts google will buy it. P.S nexus one was also featured in digital life [newspaper] today.
